Pork and Cabbage Miso Stir-fry
A simple stir-fry featuring thinly sliced pork and cabbage, coated in a sweet and savory miso sauce that's perfect with rice.
Steps
- 1
Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and slice the green onion diagonally. Slice the onion thinly, remove the stems from the shiitake mushrooms and slice them thinly. Cut the thinly sliced pork into easy-to-eat pieces.
💡 Advice : Since cabbage shrinks when heated, it's okay to cut it into slightly larger pieces.
- 2
In a bowl, combine miso, mirin, sake, sugar, garlic paste, and ginger paste, and mix well to create the miso sauce.
💡 Advice : Mix thoroughly until the sugar dissolves for an even flavor.
- 3
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat, and stir-fry the thinly sliced pork until its color changes.

Once the pork changes color, add the onion, shiitake mushrooms, cabbage, and green onion, and stir-fry for about 3 minutes until softened.
⏱️ 180 - 5
Once everything is softened, pour in the prepared miso sauce and stir-fry for about 30 seconds, coating everything well. It's done!
